The procedure

The Vaser Liposuction procedure can last between 45mins – 3.5 hours, however that depends on the individual patient and the area to be treated. The Vaser lipo can be performed under local anesthetic, meaning that you will be conscious throughout the surgery. You will be able to leave the clinic following your fat reduction procedure.

During your consultation Dr K will take you trough the procedure step by step.

Recovery

As Vaser Liposuction does not require general anesthesia or an overnight stay, downtime is minimal.  We recommend you should be able to return to your daily routine in approximately 2 – 5 days following the procedure. Each case is individual, but 3 – 14 days recovery time is expected.

You will need to wear a ‘compression garment’ around the treated areas following the procedure to aid the healing process and improve the results of the treatment. Dr K will assess the exact amount of days you need to wear your garment depending on your results, as well as devise a bespoke aftercare plan with an array of treatments to speed up the healing process and enhance your results.

Results can be seen immediately; however, the results will continue to improve over the next three to four months.

Vaser Liposuction vs Traditional Liposuction

Vaser lipo is that it’s a lot more accurate than the traditional method for targeting fatty tissue. This means you’re much less likely to suffer from injury, bruising and heavy blood loss.

Recovery from traditional lipo can be a lot more painful and take longer as a result.

Vaser Lipo is a less invasive method as it uses ultrasound technology to emulsify the fat. This innovative technique can distinguish between fat cells and healthy tissue, nerves and blood vessels.

Despite the many benefits of Vaser, it is actually a lot cheaper than traditional lipo, especially if you are planning to have more than one area treatment.
